Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern began as minor characters in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Tom Stoppard pulls them from the margins and places them center stage, where they stumble through a baffling world of theatrical mischief, dazzling wordplay, and big questions about fate, free will, and the meaning of it all. Hilarious, inventive, and endlessly surprising, this modern classic comes to vibrant new life at WashU in spring 2027.
